The College of Education and Allied Professions is actively involved with promoting technological competence, awareness and skill-building throughout our educational programs, emphasizing the benefits that technology can bring to classrooms by promoting active, participatory learning. Our philosophy of using technology effectively, efficiently and wisely permeates all levels of integration and is also reflected in our college's conceptual framework and strategic plan for instructional technology.
The Center also works to make our business processes within the college more efficient and effective through technology. The Center will also participate in planning and design of the college's new building, which is part of WCU's Millenial Initiative. The Center has also supported Initiative 4.2.2.1 of the UNC-Tomorrow report by working with our college's programs and community colleges to provide technology resources for students on the community college campuses.
In the spirit of the Stewards of Place initiative, the college is involved with the WNCEdNet project to bring high-bandwidth Internet connections to school districts and higher education in western North Carolina.
We invite you to visit our informational pages and learn more about our programs and encourage you in the use of our instructional technology resources. Thank you again for visiting our instructional technology web site.
