Western Carolinian: A bi-monthly print and electronic publication featuring articles written, edited and produced by WCU students. Contact the student editorial staff at (828) 227-2208.

WCAT: WCU’s student-run cable radio station broadcasts on the closed-circuit television station 22. Students and staff are working on developing WCAT’s Web presence and plan to add an online streaming component in fall 2009. Contact WCAT’s staff adviser at (828) 227-2195.

In addition to the news media above, WCU students express themselves through other student-run media outlets like The Gadfly, a journal of social criticism and philosophy; Nomad, a student arts and literature journal; and Catamount Communications, a student-run public relations group.
